Solution
Use Cleanspl.exe from the Windows 2003 Server Resource kit as mentioned here:

Download the resource kit here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9D467A69-57FF-4AE7-96EE-B18C4790CFFD&displaylang=en
Cleanspl.exe must be run as an Admin and under 2003 compatability.
Reinstall printers, done.
